Naples

This is our second stop for Naples.  Today we have a full day tour of the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento arranged thru AP Tours. Our driver/guide was Alberto and he was very good.

The towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello ard three of the most beautiful in the south of Italy and have gained worldwide fame for their charm.  The drive was really an experience…it makes the “Dragon’s Tail” look like a piece of cake…except that no one can go fast.  The scenery was spectacular.

Our first stop was in the town of Amalfi.  Had to sample the local wine (needed to buy something to use the bathroom).  Beautiful little square.

Next stop was Ravello where Charlie found his first cats of the day.

 

After a short stop in Positano,was wound our way up the mountain for our lunch stop at LaTagliata.  The lunch was good but the view was spectacular!!!!!!

We drove on to Sorrento where we boarded the ferry for our ride back to Naples.  All in all, another great day…..good tour, good friends and good food and wine….what more could we ask for!!!
