Civitavecchia

This morning we arrived in Rome tired, but happy, that the long trip was over.  The flight was pretty bad.  It was on one of American’s old 767.  Seats very very uncomfortable.  We were very glad when the flight was over! After cleaning customs,, we started on our search to find Pat and Dick Hoffer who we are sharing a transfer to the Hotel Borgo del Mare, our hotel in Civitavecchia.  That went smoothly and we were on our way quickly and arrived in Civitavecchia around noon.

The hotel is pretty nice and has free wifi!!!  what more could I ask….  walked around looking for an ATM to get Euros.  Back to the hotel to take a nap and then out to a restaurant for a really good meal,,,,,thanks to Delia and her ability to speak Italian.  We would be lost without her…

Trying to make this an early night.  Tomorrow morning we are off to Rome and the Scavi tour,

 

Tonite we plan to meet some other Red Hot Rubies (RHRs) for drinks.
