This morning we were to be off on a full day tour to Olympia and a stop at the Mercouri Estate Winery. We booked this tour over a year ago with George’s Taxi Tours and since we were the first to book we got George!!!! Unfortunately, we ended up cancelling this tour late last night as George informed us that the workers were on strike at Olympia. Since tourism has to be a big part of the economy in Greece, it does seem like these workers are cutting off a very large source of income. Doesn’t make sense to me!!!!
Another reason that we were glad we cancelled this day….the day started cold and rainy with thunder and lightening. Not a good day to be out touring. This is the view from our window of the buses waiting for people on Princess excursions..
Decided to do some laundry. Laundry room was unbearable!!!! so hot and humid, my glasses fogged up when I walked in. Also, Princess has found another way to increase revenue..machine now are $2.00/load……OH..another thing…had breakfast in the dining room…asked for fresh squeezed orange juice…..there is now a charge for that also!!!!! I didn’t get any…I’m too cheap.
We may be a long way from home but you can see that Charlie is ready for game day.
