Monte Carlo is a “tender” port. We are scheduled for a full day tour arranged by Anne Davis (AKA Redhead). The tour is arranged thru Revelations Tours and we are planning to visit Nice (market of the old city), the medieval village Eze, as well as Monaco and Monte Carlo.
We were able to get on the first tender and there was a beautiful sunrise looking back at the Ruby….
Our driver was waiting and we were off to our first stop in Nice at the Flower market in Old Nice. We took the high road that gave us some beautiful views. This is also the road were Princess Grace died in an auto accident.
The Flower Market in Nice was something special. Not only were there beautiful flowers but wonderful foods, fruits, vegetables and just about anything else you could want.
Then it was on to visit the medieval village of Eze. Charlie and I had been here many years ago but it really is a neat place to visit.
We made a short stop in Monte Carlo to see the famous Casino. Charlie especially liked the cars parked in front of the casino.
Last stop of the day was at Monaco. We visited the cathedral where Grace Kelly married Prince Rainer and where they are both buried.
Of course, we had to make a stop to sample some of the local wine and beer…
All and all, another good day. The weather was perfect and we had a good tour.
